ELT Experiment
HURRAH! Our ELT Experiment is over!

Now it's time to analyse the results, which will take some time. In fact,  the detailed report on a number of participants, average progress results and summarising conclusions will be published in Issue #3 in May.

I really hope that all our efforts WILL appear fruitful.

Dear students!

Please, leave your feedback and comments or might be wishes about the experiment here.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you so much, Maxim! I hope other experiment participants have made certain progress in listening as well:) But in fact my personal teaching goal was to prove that it's possible to facilitate the listening habit in students. I'm pretty sure now - Listening is not a gift, it's a skill! Let's keep at it!

I absolutely agree with Victoria about the fact that Marina is a fan of her profession!

Before ELT Experiment I felt myself a bit daunted about watching movies in English and usually didn't try to understand the meanings of songs I listened. But now it's like a hobby to watch different videos, to listen audio podcasts via Internet. It seemed to be a little strange thing for me when you get the satisfaction from the process of listening. But now I know this feeling! I'm very happy about it and extremely grateful to Marina! smile

Usually, I don't leave any comments, because I feel shy for my English. But this time I can't do otherwise. I explain why.

First of all, I want to thank Marina for her such time-consuming and hard work (I can imagine!) She really is a fan of her profession, because ELT Experiment was especially her initiative, above the course's program, to do our studying more interesting, fascinating and effective. And everything had been done!

I liked this Experiment, although I hadn’t very good results. But I think it is only a start, because now I begin to look for tasks myself – watch foreign films without translating, sing songs, read simple articles when I have time.

Of course it was very conveniently to have a new exercise every day that you should do. It didn't require wasting a lot of time, but helped to go ahead, though. Most of all I waited tasks with songs! So I learnt several ones as well as poem Vincent and few tongue-twisters. It's very funny and useful at the same time, I think.
If it is possible could this Experiment be continued? Perhaps, it is difficult to find a new practice every day. So let's do it every week ;)
In any way, we have a very creative teacher! And may be we are expected by a new project! ;)
