Prague

Sometimes our dreams come true! And I had an occasion to visit that beautiful city. I was there in October, the period of Indian summer. I think it’s a good time for sightseeing, because the sun isn't hot like in summer, and you can walk among the narrow and quiet streets daylong. We didn`t take any excursions with a guide, we just made a tour of a city by ourselves with a map and some knowledge that we got before our trip. I think it’s a good way to take pleasure of a trip. Because you can allocate the time as you wish and do the sightseeing as you desire.

The most interesting sight was the picturesque Charles Bridge  that crosses the Vltava river.  The bridge is decorated with a lot of statues. It is a very busy place with painters, owners of kiosks and musicians alongside with numerous tourists crossing the bridge.

According to legend if you make a wish on Charles Bridge (near some statue, you will know what statue exactly, because of lots of people near it), your wish will come true for sure. Of course, I made my wish. The expiration date of it is in a year, and only in a year I can tell you if it is true or false. Hope it is not an illusion.

Also you can visit Prague Castle  - the largest castle in the world. Presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic have had their offices there.  There is the best scene of the city and Old Town of Prague is in full view. But you can get even more amazing feelings if you go to Petřínská rozhledna, an observation tower on Petrgin Hill, which resembles the Eiffel Tower. You can see the city from the bird`s-eye view. There is also a park with a beautiful flowering rose garden.  Roses of different colors grow there.

It would be interesting to see the Dancing HouseNational Museum, the Astronomical Clock and Franz Kafka Museum too.

If you like shopping I think it`s better to go to the downtown. There are a lot of shops of different brands. I`ve noticed that in Prague there are many book shops, or even book centre, and they have very attractive windows.  In the downtown you can also find good souvenirs, such as Bohemia Chrystal, Moser, marionette, or other popular Czech presents.

If you feel hungry, you can go to the restaurant and try Czech cuisine. Local dishes that are worth tasting are dumplings, beef steak, goulash and duck meat. But a lot of people come to Prague to drink and taste good sorts of beer. And it`s true! Hope you come and see it!

Prague is a fairy-tale city and very romantic place I have ever been to! And I'm absolutely sure that once I would come again to such a lovely city and get another great impressions. In addition, I`d like to recommend to visit this city because it`s really worth seeing!
