“The Lady in the Lake” by Raymond Chandler .
It’s a detective story. 


The rich man wants to find his wife, Crystel. She went to their second house near a lake, but she didn’t come back. Why didn’t she get home? Where is she?


This man asks Philip Marlowe, one of the best private detectives in Los Angeles, to find Crystel. 

Marlowe finds a body of a young woman in the lake. She knew Crystel. Someone saw Crystel’s car and her lover in the city. Then Marlowe finds the body of Crystel’s lover in a hotel. He was shot. How those facts are connected? Detective Marlowe meets many people, talks to them, analyses all the facts. He is in trouble himself. He thinks the killer is the young woman who knew Crystel. But someone kills her…

There are good and bad people, money and drugs, dangerous games, hate and love in this story. There is love, which  can cover the killer and can  kill…
