Born in Rosario, Argentina. Guevara is a national hero in Cuba. Statues sculptured in his honor are situated in almost every town in Cuba. He played an important part in the Cuban Revolution and aided Fidel Castro to overthrow the old government. |
Do you like listening to music? Of course, we all enjoy our favourite tunes which are a big part of our lives. Can you imagine for just one day that there is no music around you. What will you hear? Different sounds: traffic, street noise, people speaking, etc. Frankly, it doesn’t make you happy. So music is important for any age. I’m a teenager and can say that we love all sorts of music. We fancy listening to pop, rock, dubstep, classics and some teens like rap. Me too. And I don’t agree with the opinion that this style is for bad boys only. BTW, I’m an A-student. |

I'm a film fan so sometimes movies influence me very much. I like some of them either for exciting plot or for beautiful shots. But there are some directors who make unique movies indeed. So one of my favourite directors is Wong Kar-wai. I want to tell you about him. |
I’d like to tell you about a great Spanish artist - Salvador Dali. In my opinion, he is one of the most famous surrealists in the world who did a revolution in art. |
He is a Colombian professional boxer, acting in the 2nd middleweight. His fate is like a fairy tale of Cinderella. |
So, I would like to tell you about an amazing music group; they sound very pleasant for each person, who likes hard-rock and metal. This group's name is Disturbed! Now, I’ll tell you something about it and about David Draiman - the soloist. |
A modern person can’t imagine his life without a telephone. It’s one of the most important part of life nowadays, especially mobile phone. Meanwhile a question appears who was the man, who invented the telephone. Certainly, the answer is that it was Alexander Graham Bell who did it. He made people’s lives much more easier, and people must be grateful to him for it. I think he was a very clever and willing person. |
There are a lot of big names connected with big deeds. Names and deeds can be positive or negative. But always every impressive event makes people think about their life and place in the world.

On
the Victoria Embankment in London there is a very simple but touching
monument to those British who lost their lives defending Britain during
World War II. At the bottom there is the inscription that made me stop
and think. They are Winston Churchill’s words, "Never was so much owed
by so many to so few”... Maybe, it’s just a coincidence but across the
Thames, on the other bank there is a museum to the woman who can be
proudly called ONE of those FEW - Florence Nightingale, a great nurse, a national heroine whose name is known to everybody in Britain.
